Between towns in Salamanca province almost every bus line goes via the capital, so getting from Béjar to Ciudad Rodrigo or from Peñaranda to Alba de Tormes by public transport usually means changing in Salamanca.

On arrival: Sierra de Béjar

Béjar, at the southern tip of the province and already in the mountains, was a textile town and is now also the gateway to La Covatilla ski resort. It is far from the capital, so Salamanca's hospital, the railway station or the airport always mean a long trip.

Tip: From Salamanca to Barajas allow more than two hours on the road: for an early flight, pickup is usually in the small hours.
